Language of Philosophy in action:
So I was bored today in class so I decided to text Andrew during class. I forgot the no cellphone policy but whatever, its not like I wasn’t paying attention. Anyway the teacher scolded me in front of the class saying if he caught me again I’d be asked to leave and I’d need permission to return to the class again. Of course I said “Sorry” then as lecture continued, the conversation of the usage of “I’m sorry” vs. “I apologize” came up.
Technically by saying “I’m sorry” essentially states your feelings as a person rather than actually apologizing. Which is exactly what I felt when I said “sorry” rather than really apologizing for what I did! Haha asshole.
